Catherine: It's a great story, and it shows the importance of passion and motivation in any field. Can you tell us a little bit about your studies and how they influenced your music?
Antonio: I've been studying guitar for 5-6 hours a day since I was a kid. At first I played classical music such as Bach, Mozart and Chopin, but my father also taught me Spanish guitar technique, which he learned from Spanish teachers. Later, I studied for a year myself in Spain in Malaga with famous flamenco teachers, which further deepened my knowledge of the Spanish style.
Catherine: Hi, Antonio, thank you for taking time to talk to us today. First of all, can you tell us a little bit about your background and how you started playing guitar?
Antonio: Of course, I started playing the guitar when I was 5 years old. My father, who is a professional musician and he was touring around the country, taught me classical guitar. I wasn't really into it at first, but when I got my first gig fee at age 15, I started getting serious about music and practicing professionally.

Catherine: It's a lot of dedication and hard work. Can you tell us about your unique style and how you came to mix Spanish guitar with deep house music?
Antonio: I've always been interested in DJing and experimenting with different genres. About 10 years ago I decided to mix Spanish guitar with deep house and it was a great mix. Now it's my particular style and I like to bring new elements into my music, while respecting my traditional training.
Catherine: Your style is definitely unique, and it's obvious that you're passionate about music. Can you tell us about your experiences performing in different venues in Miami?
Antonio: I've been lucky enough to perform at some very nice places including Nikki Beach, Rasputin, Gitana, Four Seasons, Hard Rock and Davidoff in South Florida. Each venue has its own unique atmosphere, and I love adapting my music to the audience and the setting. With my music, people can just enjoy themselves or even dance to it.
Antonio: Yes, it's true, I've seen many talented musicians lose their passion and talent because of alcohol, as you often have to drink when performing. For me, this was a wake-up call and I made the decision to not drink alcohol 25 years ago. I haven't had a drink since. I think it's important to live a healthy lifestyle and be dedicated to your craft in order to succeed as a musician and give real joy to event guests.
Catherine: That's incredible. Earlier we touched on the subject of alcohol and am I right to understand that you haven't been drinking for a long time now?
Catherine: That's a great attitude, and it's evident in your success. Thank you for sharing your journey and taking the time to talk with us. It's been a pleasure talking to you.
Antonio: Thank you, it was a pleasure talking to you too and I'm always happy to perform in front of a pleasant audience.
